Hi Anita — great blog and you’re a girl after my own heart! i too have been trying to figure out what plastic chairs to get for my dining room. i LOVE kitsch and that is how i look at it — fine art meets kitsch. i’m going to do 2 each of 3 different colours. Or maybe one single colour, 6 different chairs.

i love the Bellini chair and the Air Chair — i’m not at my home computer right now but i’ve done a TON of research and found some other great ones …….. since you don’t want chrome legs, they may not work for you however given the salt and sand (lucky girl!).

The only problem i see is that many of the ones i love are not “cheap”. Where did you see the Air Chair for the price you mentioned? i’m seeing it w/o arms for more than that plus shipping.

I love this piece! I bought one on Officedesigns.com and I loved the way it turned out; I was going to hang it in my kids’ room, but it arrived (shipped free!) so beautiful, that I ended up putting it in our downstairs doorway! Eames’ collections are beautiful and Officedesigns.com carries all of their pieces.
